Biography

Katie Low is the Statewide Coordinator supporting UC Cooperative Extension's Fire Team. Prior to this role, Katie completed her Master of Forestry from UC Berkeley where she researched the short- and long-term ecological impacts of fuel reduction and forest restoration treatments on California's Sierra Nevada mixed-conifer forests. She also holds bachelor's degrees in forestry and geography from UC Berkeley. Katie is also on the Steering Committee for the Forestry and Natural Resources Career Mentorship Program, which is aims to provide professional development resources to historically underrepresented students studying forestry and natural resource management.
