Your gift allows the UC Master Gardener Program of Riverside County volunteers to be the most reliable source of high quality research-based gardening information in California. The UC Master Gardener Program of Riverside County offers its services at no cost to local communities, connecting concerned citizens and home gardeners to research and information directly from the University of California.

The program’s volunteers work with the public every day to support:

• Gardens in thousands of schools, jails, hospitals, senior centers ... and more!
• Habitats for pollinators
• Conserving water
• Reducing pesticides
• Energy conservation
• Access to healthy foods for families and neighborhoods
• Science literacy
• Reducing green waste

GivingTuesday was created in 2012 as a simple idea: a day that encourages people to do good. Over the past nine years, this idea has grown into a global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity. Every Tuesday is GivingTuesday, with the annual celebration event taking place on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving in the U.S.

GivingTuesday strives to build a world in which the catalytic power of generosity is at the heart of the society we build together, unlocking dignity, opportunity, and equity around the globe.

GivingTuesday’s global network collaborates year-round to inspire generosity around the world, with a common mission to build a world where generosity is part of everyday life.
