Side of House

The side of a house is vulnerable to wildfire. Siding can be vulnerable at lap joints. Combustible siding can threaten other parts of the house if it ignites and the resulting flame impinges on the window, or spreads to the eave area and threatens under-eave or gable end vents. If ignited, the fire from an attached deck will threaten siding and adjacent windows and doors.
