Outstanding UC ANR staff win STAR awards

The CalFresh Healthy Living, UCCE team for San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara counties is one of eight teams that won STAR awards. During the pandemic, the team got creative to keep youth engaged in learning about health and nutrition. One approach was hosting family cook nights online in English and Spanish.

UC ANR recognized the exemplary performance of 22 individual UCANR staff members and eight teams, presenting them with 2022 Staff Appreciation and Recognition awards. The honorees receive cash rewards as well as praise from their peers. The awards were presented at a special online recognition event on June 16.
