Obesity, type 2 diabetes, and other nutrition-related health conditions are growing concerns in the adult population in the US. In low-income populations, food insecurity--defined as lack of access to enough food for an active, healthy, lifeāis one of many barriers to attaining a healthier diet. To assist health professionals and nutrition educators working with adult populations, culturally-sensitive curricula, validated evaluation tools, and research articles related to chronic disease and food insecurity may be found here.
