Background

Racism in the United States is a form of oppression that includes systems, policies, institutions, and culture that uphold white supremacy. Regardless of positive intentions, institutional racism in ANR policies and culture actively undermines efforts to meet our mission to serve all Californians. For us to have equitable programming, we must have the structures and processes in place to support an inclusive environment.
