ANR Community,
IT has scheduled an outage of our public server infrastructure on Thursday, July 6, between 6 a.m. and 8 a.m. During this window, all public-facing websites and remote access will be unavailable.
The purpose of this outage is to move our public-facing server to a new firewall to enhance security and reliability of our systems.
Please note the following details regarding the server outage:
Date: Thursday, July 6, 2023
Time: 6-8 a.m.
Duration: Approximately 2 hours
Impact: During this period, all public-facing website access will be temporarily unavailable.
We apologize for any disruption this may cause. IT will work to minimize the duration of the outage and restore normal operations as quickly as possible.
Should you have any urgent matters that require immediate attention during the scheduled downtime, please contact our support team at help@ucanr.edu.
Thank you for your patience and understanding.

UC ANR server outage update
We would like to update you on the current state of our services.
While we have made significant progress in restoring functionality, please note that the website and portal may be periodically unstable.
Additionally, we continue to restore sub-websites in groups. This approach allows us to prioritize critical services and expedite the overall restoration process. As a result, you may encounter certain websites that are still offline or undergoing restoration. You may also come across pages where images are temporarily unavailable. This is a known issue, images and visual elements will be restored as the process continues.
We anticipate that it will take a few more days to complete the entire restoration process. We understand the importance of having all services fully operational and are working to restore full functionality.
We will continue to provide regular updates on our progress. Should you encounter any difficulties or have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to our support team at help@ucanr.edu.
Thank you for your understanding as we navigate through this restoration phase.
UC ANR website, portal down
Web server scheduled maintenance May 3 from 7 to 8 a.m.
To ensure we continue to enhance our security posture, we will be moving our infrastructure behind a new Palo Alto Firewall.
During this maintenance window, UC ANR web services will be down and unavailable. This includes ucanr.edu, ArcCatalog, and all subdomains, i.e., website.ucanr.edu.
Planned maintenance activities will occur on Wednesday, May 3, from 7 to 8 a.m. While we anticipate the outage being shorter, we want to allocate an hour for the move.
Thank you in advance for your patience and support. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to get in touch with IT at anritg@ucanr.edu.
