New “Old” Face Joins ANR IT Team

Aug 23, 2017

While the IT team always welcomes a new face, we were especially excited to be joined recently by a newbie with an ANR pedigree. Jon Wilson, ANR's new Applications Architect is returning to ANR for his second go-around.

After graduating from UC Davis in 2010, Jon worked for ANR as programmer building applications primarily for 4-H. After three years, he decided to leave ANR and work remotely from Woodland for Texas-based Registration Max. But before long, the siren call of ANR IT lured Jon back, and he rejoined Dave Krause's team in April. Jon's new challenge is to design and build applications to serve the needs of ANR in Davis and throughout California.

Jon says he missed working for an organization like ANR that has a “powerful mission” to improve our communities' agriculture and resources, almost as much as he missed “seeing what new Star Wars shirt Bryon Noel would be sporting each day.” He is very happy to experience the new 2nd Street building, “a major upgrade” on the team's previous quarters and he very much appreciates having so many colleagues and clients together under the same roof.

The biggest change for Jon might not be work related, however, as he is now a father, of one and half year old Sawyer. If you recall Jon from “the old days” be sure to stop by his desk in the IT Cave and welcome back our prodigal programmer.
