Teen Counselor application 2024
This is considered a Leadership Position. Please support the youth to apply, provide letters of recommendation and, be part of an interview process. These steps are taken into consideration as “points” towards acceptance. Those selected will be notified. Currently, 4-H Camp Counselor meetings will take place the typically the 4th Monday of the month starting in January and ending in June.
4-H Teen Counselors provide much needed support to the Camp staff. This role includes supervision of the youth during day and evening activities, mentoring new skills for youth, planning areas of camp, developing teamwork with others, being role models, creating a safe environment, reducing risks and much more.
The process for being accepted as a teen counselor has additional parameters included in the application process. These take place before and during the camp program year.
