Ranch Pond Field Day - 10/31/18

Marin County Survey Header Image

State laws passed in 2016 are requiring everyone with a pond or direct diversion from a creek/stream to report their water usage every year with the State Water Board.  Anyone with 10 acre-feet or more is also being required to install equipment to measure the amount of water in their pond.

The deadline to have this equipment in place has already passed, and you may have received a letter from the Water Board to this affect.  This field day will answer your questions about what exactly is required and help get you across the finish line.

Visit three Marin ranches where different systems have been installed to monitor the water level and make annual reporting easier.  We’ll talk through where the equipment can be found, how much it costs and easy ways to get it done.  We’ll also touch on the reporting requirements and how to get help with filing your reports each year.

Date: Wednesday, 10/31/18

Location (to start): Barboni Ranch ~ 1052 Hicks Valley Road, Petaluma, CA 94952

Time: 1:00 – 5:00pm
