Biography
Responsible for applied research and education on livestock and natural resources in Lassen County 1982 to 1996 and Yuba/Sutter/Butte counties 1996 to 2015. Working with ranchers in the areas of: sustained ranching, ranch budget analysis, nutrition, health, and marketing. Being a forth generation California rancher allows him to put an applied approach to the University’s data driven research and education programs. Some of his recent work has been grass fed beef and niche marketing of lamb along with a cow calf budget and stocker cost studies.
