Don't miss this opportunity to visit the beautiful UCI Arboretum. Closed to the public except for seasonal open houses, the spring open house highlights a walking tour of the San Joaquin Marsh, led by Dr. Peter Bowler, UCI Senior Lecturer in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology, Director of the UCI Arboretum, and Faculty Manager of the UC Natural Reserve System's San Joaquin Marsh and Burns Pinyon Ridge Reserves.
The open house also features two Master Gardener presented seminars on “Attracting and Supporting Butterflies in the Garden” and “Orchid Care”, as well as a Master Gardener led interactive butterfly exhibit, an opportunity to visit the Arboretum's orchid collection, and the “Ask a Master Gardener” booth where visitors can get answers to their gardening questions.
Complimentary plants to participants. For more information and to sign up for one or both seminars (space is limited), email mg.arboretum.openhouse@gmail.com.
Admission is free.
Parking in UCI Lot 90 at $2/hour payable at the kiosk.
Happy Gardening and hope to see you at the event,
