I just purchased this plant called sweet broom. I live in Thousand Oaks. I hope it grows well. First it tells me let the ground get dry then it tells me to water it regularly so which is it?

Sweet broom is drought tolerant only once established. Watering schedule will depend on soil type and weather but general guidelines: keep the soil evenly damp around the root ball for couple months. Then through the first year, water regularly allowing top inch of soil to dry some before each watering.
