Proposals for advisor and specialist positions 2010

Question

We’re considering submitting a position that doesn’t appear to fit into the four active initiatives. We think this position is critical to sustaining our efforts in a key commodity area. Should we submit it anyway?

Answer

Yes. The ANR Strategic Vision 2025 is the guiding document describing future direction for ANR.  There are nine broad initiatives described in the Vision document and the call for proposals describes the elements required for all submissions.  The four initial Strategic Initiatives have been identified as opportunities for integrated research and extension programs to make a significant difference and we are committed to providing resources to support approved elements of each initiative’s strategic plan.
