Garden Discovery Program

Garden Discovery is a special program for youth groups. It includes a detailed tour of areas of the garden and an age-appropriate garden learning activity.  Bring a lunch to round out the morning before heading back to school.

Take a field trip to the Garden of the Sun where a fun and educational experience awaits youths of all ages.  Among the learning activities offered by UC Master Gardeners are planting seeds, a pressed flower activity, scientific examination of plant parts, leaf rubbings, composting, exploring seed travel and Botany on a Plate nutrition education.

If you are interested in scheduling a Garden Discovery tour for your class or group, please call the Master Gardener Helpline at (559) 241-7534 or email us with your request.  It will be forwarded to the Youth Gardening team.

View the Garden Discovery Flyer for details and book a tour today.
