The staff advisors serve as non-voting advisors to six regents' committees: Academic and Student Affairs, Compliance and Audit, Finance and Capital Strategies, Public Engagement and Development, Investments, and National Laboratories. To ensure continuity of experience, the staff advisors serve two-year staggered terms.
Participants may ask what the STARs are working on, share ideas or give updates on their own projects. All employees are welcome to the virtual session.

The UC Center for Climate, Health and Equity is announcing an open call for research proposals that address a range of priorities at the intersection of climate change and human health.
The center seeks to harness the expertise and leadership of the health sector to drive ambitious climate action that safeguards health and promotes health equity. The Center leads research, education, and policy activities to generate and scale climate-health solutions. This includes preparing health professionals to provide climate-responsive care; expanding the evidence base on the intersection of climate, health, and equity; building sustainable health systems; working with communities to design, implement, and evaluate new approaches to climate adaptation and mitigation that promote health equity; and supporting strong climate and health policies.
The Climate and Health Seed Grant Program was created to support interdisciplinary research projects across the UC system that advance our understanding of the human health impacts of climate change and the climate solutions that advance health equity. Priority will be given to proposals that focus on climate and health equity.

Strategic Communications has created a UC ANR employees Facebook group page. It's a closed group for ANR members only.
UC ANR members can post photos, videos, events and other things to share with colleagues. We realize not everyone uses Facebook, but it is easier to share images via Facebook than in Collaborative Tools and allows casual conversation without cluttering everyone's email inbox.
To join the UC ANR employees Facebook group, visit https://www.facebook.com/groups/634449560883829.
To get the page started, we have posted a couple of Jib Jab videos and an announcement about a holiday support group for the LGBTQIA+ community. Feel free to add cute pictures of kids and pets or pretty landscapes. You could also share announcements of events.
If you have questions about the Facebook group, please contact Dora Garay at dgaray@ucanr.edu.
