Are you interested in collecting credit card payments from event sponsors with an ANR survey? If so, contact Sherry Cooper to try this new process.
Sponsorships of events are considered gifts and have a specific process and manner in which the funds have to be collected, so those payments have to be handled differently. ANR Program Support Unit has worked out a process for collecting credit card payments from event sponsors, but needs to test the process. Contact Cooper at slcooper@ucanr.edu if you're interested in participating in the pilot project.

UC ANR participated in the 2022 World Ag Expo, held Feb. 8-10, in Tulare.
Khaled Bali, interim director of Kearney Agricultural Research and Extension Center, and Ashraf El-Kereamy, director of Lindcove Research and Extension Center, organized displays at booths inside Pavilion A to publicize the research performed by the RECs. Staff handed out mandarins and showed visitors the different sorghum varieties being studied.
In addition, UCCE specialists and advisors delivered a series of dairy seminars on the latest research and best practices – from innovations in feed and nutrient management to cutting-edge technology in water and manure management.
TheLindcove team also hosted a citrus tour and tasting of citrus varieties for expo attendees.

Beginning March 1, 2022, UC ANR staff members will be eligible for up to $50 in reimbursements for personal wellness expenses. These funds are available on a first-come, first-served basis and staff are encouraged to submit receipts early.
The Staff Assembly Council and Wellness Committee encourage you to expand your personal wellness activities and submit your receipts for reimbursement.
What qualifies for reimbursement? Equipment, clothing, classes, memberships, personal training and books first come to mind, but applicants are encouraged to explain how the purchase is improving their personal wellness.
What does not qualify for reimbursement? Food, medicine and supplements.
The Wellness Reimbursement Program is in a pilot phase with this rollout so the Wellness Committee is interested in the choices staff make for reimbursement; this will inform future ANR Staff Assembly Wellness plans.
To apply, click on the application link below and submit the application with receipts. The first reimbursements will be announced in mid-March 2022.
