Two of the biggest backyard food crops in Southern California are Citrus and Avocados. This week on In the Garden with UC Master Gardeners, we replay a wonderful segment when our beloved Radio Show OG host Mark Fierle talked with fellow Master Gardener Greg Rager about how to grow citrus and avocado trees at home.
Did you know that avocados DO NOT ripen while still on the tree? Greg will inform you about a disease still impacting the So. Cal area even since this show first aired in May of 2016. In 8 years, the HLB Quarantine area has grown significantly so be aware of MUST NOTs when it comes to citrus. Overall, learn about keeping your avocados and citrus happy, healthy, and productive.
