Western Forestry and Conservation Association is sponsoring a one-day training conference on biochar in lovely Vancouver, WA on April 25. Details and registration at:
The United States Biochar Initiative 2018 Conference will be in Wilmington, DE August 20-23. While the conference focuses on water quality, it will cover the waterfront of biochar production, use, etc. I have been to several and have enjoyed them all and learned a lot. Academics, biochar producers, users, pretty much everyone that has anything to do with biochar attends. And the vendor shows are usually quite good. All the others have had just the right number of attendees -- enough so you see a lot of people, but small enough to really get to know most of them. Lots of group meals and other events so you get the chance to see everyone.

Cool Planet lists their press releases here: http://www.coolplanet.com/media/press/
There is a variety of information, including their latest patent for "enhanced biochar", staff changes, etc. A couple of staff changes:
1) Keith Vodrazka is now Cool Planet's Head of Strategy, Commercial, and Technology Alignment, a position previously held by Brian Buege, who is now with Netflix. Keith was kind enough to visit UCR to check on what our group has been doing.
2) This one actually happened 9 months ago: Golf and turf professional Mike Ewert will work with the golf, turf, and landscape industries here in the western states.
And if any other companies or individuals have information they would like posted, just send me an email.
