Ali, I am so happy you have chosen to retire, at such a young age, so you can fully enjoy more time with your lovely bride. And, knowing you, I am certain you'll spend many hours on reasearch projects and lectures. I remember the day you began working at UC Extension (shows just how old I am)and thought how enthusiastic and passionate you were about your profession. You worked so hard to make very positive and much needed improvement to the industry. I simply wanted to thank you for all your support and assistance on the many projects that have brought us together. I have been fortunate indeed to work with such a consummate pressional as you.

Ali, you are not old enough to retire!! I will always think of your fondly, remembering when you asked me to lead the symposium committee for C5 even though I was just a puppy and had no idea what I was doing. It really did give me confidence that I could be a leader within our society. I hope you will still come to meetings occasionally and let us hear how you are doing. If you are travelling through the country, we would love to host you in Arkansas any time. Just remember that your best piece of wisdom regarding conferences has never failed me - DO NOT GET ON THE BUS!! hahaha - best wishes in your retirement...Mike

Ali, I can't believe you are retiring... I better check to see where I stand. thanks for all the great memories. I still remember touring Lawrence, KS with you...lol. You are a true gentleman of turf. I wish you and your wife the best on your travels. I hope your travels at some point bring you to the Buckeye State. If so you are always welcome.

Ali, Congratulations on your retirement, your contributions to the golf industry have been many and those regarding recycled water immeasurable. The humor and wit infused in your presentations will also be missed, (you could always do a little stand up comedy if retirement gets boring :-)). Enjoy your much deserved time to yourself, and be sure to take a little to just "watch the grass grow".

Congratulations my friend. I can't express how much you helped me in my career. You were always there for me even when I pulled some bone-head maintenance task. More than anything I appreciate when you showed my mistakes at one of your seminars and didn't identify me as the culprit - well, seldom identified me.

Enjoy your retirement. It seems odd at first to not worry about work, and it does take some time to get into the retirement routine. Continue to stay busy but with things you enjoy doing, not doing things you dislike.

Thanks so much for all of your help throughout our careers.

God Bless you and your family

Congratulations to you, Dr. Harivandi! Now it's your time with Sue and your family!
Thank you so very much for your support and as a mentor since 1986. You have always been there for me and supported me through my rough times. I hope that you can stay on as our advisor at NCTLC (No. CA. Turf & Landscape Council), but it's your call. You've earned your retirement!
Dittos to Ken Da Silva's comments!! Thanks so much, Ken!!!
I will keep that old 1994 Volvo running in your memory. Take care, and thank you so much for helping support me in my career since my Cal Poly days.
My best to Sue and your family.
God bless,
Pete Gumas

Ali,
Thanks for always putting up with me, older but dumber than you in your areas of expertise. You definitely enhanced my years in the turf grass seed marketplace.
Merci and salaam!
