Dear Colleagues,
As the year comes to a close, the ANR Office of Contracts and Grants invites you to look upon the opportunities offered by a brand new year. The business of grant getting never ends, and our team is dedicated to advancing your skills and success in obtaining extramural funding through targeted funding searches, strategic proposal planning and development, project management, and collaborative partnership building.
Though winter is just upon us, it is never too early to have sights set on spring funding. Take advantage of the services offered to support proposal development. Request a consultation to assess the appropriate funding program fit for an investigator-initiated project, or map funding opportunities to target throughout the year. Actively watch for funding-related guidance and news distributed via the OCG Blog or UC ANR Mailing List announcements. Access grant writing resources and reference materials available to support independent proposal development. Seek our guidance and expertise in addressing grant questions at any stage from early concept development to project closeout. Engage us early to ensure appropriate support for large, multi-disciplinary efforts.
We offer the following, as you consider opportunities to maintain funding for your existing projects and seek out funding for future plans:
January 19, 2017 SFS
USDA NIFA Organic Agriculture Research and Extension Initiative
February 21, 2017 HFC
Kresge Foundation BUILD Health Challenge
March 6, 2017 SNE, SFS, Water
NSF Innovations at the Nexus of Food, Energy and Water Systems
April 27, 2017 SNE, SFS, EIPD
DARPA Biological Technologies
On behalf of all at OCG, we sincerely thank you for sharing your project ideas and grant support needs with us throughout the year. We are excited to partner with you in grant writing success in 2017.
Thank you.
Kathleen Nolan, Director, ANR Office of Contracts & Grants (OCG)
