Well, there is still stuff to do in the garden this time of year.
This week on In the Garden, UC Master Gardener and KUCI staff host Ann Liu will talk with fellow Master Gardener Jon Schara on the topic of “winter pruning of fruit trees in your garden”.
They will discuss important topics like proper pruning of everything from citrus, stone fruit, apple, fig, pomegranate, persimmons to what are considered “rare fruit”.
If time permits, pre-treatment for potential pests and disease, and what certain fruit require for “chill hours”.
Learn what “chill hours” really means! Cozy up to your radio and learn the hottest gardening tips around!
