Happenings in the insect world

Great pics, thanks! I've seen Gulf Frits in Pasadena, CA all my life. I didn't really pay attention to their life cycle until the 70's when my mother "cleaned up" and cut a passiflora vine out of a bougainvillea. No more Gulf Frits!
Needless to say, now I'm a champion of passiflora(s). What to do with a common metal shade structure that no longer has a fabric shade? Scatter passiflora fruit at the footings. The stunning live canopy blooms clouds of Frits on every sunny day of the year. What a joy! Your postings are, too! Many thanks!
