The first Thursday of every month on In the Garden with UC Master Gardeners, UC Master Gardeners and KUCI staff hosts Teena Spindler and Katrina Kirkeby will bring you special gardening information for the month.
In November, it really is time to prepare for colder weather. Young citrus and avocados trees will need to have their trunks wrapped to protect from frost.
Prune dense trees for the passage of Santa Ana Winds. Plant, pre-chill or force certain bulbs like Narcissus for holiday color. Start thinking about strawberries and onions, too. And of course, plant those California Natives and wildflowers.
