Dear Colleagues,
USDA Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS) and the National Association of State Departments of Agriculture (NASDA) Foundation are working to update the performance measures for their grant programs. As part of this effort, NASDA Foundation will be hosting regional feedback sessions on AMS grant performance measures.
An in-person session is scheduled for Tuesday, November 5th in Monterey, CA from 2 pm - 3:30 pm PT. The event will take place at the Monterey County Fairground and Events Center located at 2004 Fairground Rd, Monterey, CA 93940.
The program will also be offering a process to submit feedback online for individuals who can't attend an in-person session. Virtual sessions will held on Tuesday, November 5th from 2 pm - 3:30 pm PT and Wednesday, December 11th from 7:30 am - 9:00 am PT. To attend a call-in session, please RSVP today to confirm your attendance at the following link: https://feedback-sessions.questionpro.com/
Participant feedback will help create grant performance measures that are practical to implement and showcase the broad range of benefits accruing through AMS grant programs.
Grants programs are as follows:
- Farmers Market and Local Food Promotion Program
- Specialty Crop Block Grant Program
- Specialty Crop Multistate Program
- Dairy Business Innovation Initiatives
- Acer Access and Development Program
NASDA is a nonpartisan, nonprofit association which represents the elected and appointed commissioners, secretaries, and directors of the departments of agriculture in all fifty states and four U.S. territories. NASDA grows and enhances agriculture by forging partnerships and creating consensus to achieve sound policy outcomes between state departments of agriculture, the federal government, and stakeholders. NASDA and the USDA Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS) are working together to update the performance measures for the Specialty Crop Block Grant Program (SCBGP), Farmers Market and Local Food Promotion Programs, and Dairy Innovation Initiatives.
