'Mme. Plantier'

Alba, White

The fragrant flowers of this rose are borne in large clusters. They are creamy at first, becoming mostly pure white with a little green pip in the center. It is a vigorous shrub or climber. As a climber it can attain a height of at least 20 ft, but it is more commonly seen as a relaxed shrub to about 10 ft high. The gray-green stems are long, arching and almost thornless and the grayish leaves are soft to touch.

France, 1835

Thought to be Rosa alba crossed with R. moschata.
