Speaker's Bio

This week's guest lecture will be from Integrated Waste Management consultant, Matthew Cotton.

Matthew Cotton conducts important research on the organics industry, from studying compost infrastructure to researching the fate of compostable plastics, and the GHG impacts of applying compost to agricultural soils, as well as many other projects. Matthew Cotton has developed and teaches training programs for the US Composting Council (USCC), the Solid Waste Association of North America (SWANA), the California Resource Recovery Association (CRRA), as well as for private facilities. He teaches the Foundations of Composting Course (co-developed with Robert Rynk) around the US and International locations. He is the lead instructor for the USCC's 40-hour Compost Operator Training Course.
