RFA Questions/Answers

  • It sounds like the application process is for organizations that are already doing food justice/food access work in the community and not individuals interested in getting involved. Can an individual apply?
    • We are trying not to limit who might be interested/willing to participate.  We are open to receiving applications from individuals or organizations.

  • What are the 5 geographic areas? Here is something I read in the RFA for reference "There will be a total of 100 points, and applications will be ranked by their total score with a goal of selecting CBFN Coordinators working in five distinct areas of the County."
    • Optimally we will have CBFN’s in each of the supervisorial districts, but we are not mandating what the specific geographic areas are for the five CBFN’s we are seeking to establish.

  • What are the eligibility requirements to be allowed to apply?
    • The applicant needs to be able to provide a W-9 and have a structure that enables them to disburse the CBFN funding as identified through the needs assessment to build capacity of network organizations. We also are open to individuals applying as an independent contractor.
