Family Night Lesson Plans
The goal of the Niños Sanos Familia Sana (Healthy Children, Healthy Family) curriculum is to improve nutrition and physical activity to prevent childhood obesity and promote health. All lessons are designed for parents with children ages 3-8 years. Topics listed in Year 3 are most relevant to children in kindergarten or elementary school.
Note: “Growing healthy children” should be offered as soon as educators feel they have developed rapport and trust to discuss childhood obesity which can be a sensitive topic.
