Ted Batkin
Ted Batkin is a fourth generation California farmer. He earned his BS degree in the College of Sciences & Math at California State University at Fresno, and his MS degree in Physics at the University of South Carolina, Columbia, SC. Prior to his current position, he spent 10 years as the Manager of the research programs for California-grown potatoes, tomatoes, celery, and melons. For the last 20 years, he has served as President of the California Citrus Research Board, which sets the direction for and funds citrus reseach in the state. He has also served as the President of the Exotic Fruit Fly Coalition, Inc., which promotes research and management strategies for invasive Tephritid fruit flies that establish in the USA.
