Victoria Yokoyama
Dr. Victoria Yokoyama received her MS and PhD degrees from the University of California, Berkeley, and began her career in research at the Institute for Cancer Research, Columbia University, New York. She served as an Associate Professor in the Department of Biology at California State University at Long Beach before joining the USDA Agricultural Research Service in 1984 as a Research Entomologist, San Joaquin Valley Agricultural Sciences Center, Parlier, CA. She has developed quarantine treatments and strategies to control pests of regulatory concern in commodities exported from the western USA with current emphasis on Hessian fly and olive fruit fly in California canned olives.
