Welcome to the Youth Science Education Resource Hub, maintained by the University of California, Agriculture and Natural Resources Science Education and Extension Workgroup. The purpose of this hub is to provide professionsals (staff and academics) a curated collection of informal science education resources to advance science and STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) education efforts.

Animal Science projects have been a primary tool for instructing youth about the food production process in the United States. As fewer people are involved with agriculture for a living and more people live in urban rather than rural areas, the ability for youth, or adults, to have hands-on experiences in agriculture is diminished.
