What this Privacy Policy Covers
The Vertebrate Pest Council (VPC) takes your privacy seriously. This policy covers how the VPC treats personal information that the VPC collects and receives from you. Personal information is information including personal financial information that can be used for individual identification, such as your name, address, e-mail address, phone number, and credit card account number and information. This policy does not apply to the personal information privacy practices of organizations that the VPC does business with, but does not own or control, such as banks, and educational organizations.
Information Collection and Use
The VPC collects personal information including financial information you voluntarily provide when you inquire about or register for the Vertebrate Pest Conference, Vertebrate Pest Workshops or to purchase conference proceedings. The VPC uses your personal information to facilitate the operation or fulfillment of activities provided by the VPC in which you elected to participate.
Information Sharing and Disclosure
The VPC does not rent or sell your personal information and does not share your personal information with anyone other than organizations under agreement to provide educational or financial services to the VPC. These organizations use your personal information to conduct transactions related to services provided by the VPC. Personal information that is shared with other organizations is subject to the privacy policies of said organizations. The VPC is obligated to share your personal information when responding to subpoenas, court orders, or legal process, or to establish or exercise our rights against legal claims.
Confidentiality and Security
The VPC limits access to your personal information to persons with a reasonable need to provide services to you. The VPC employs practical and reasonable physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect your personal information from public disclosure.
