Become a Volunteer
The University of California Cooperative Extension has many programs to volunteer for in your community.
4-H Youth Development Program volunteers are made up of parents of the 4-H members who lead specific projects for their 4-H clubs.
Master Food Preserver Program volunteers take a class in Food Preservation and Safety and in turn volunteer their time teaching the people of our community safe food preservation.
Master Gardener Program volunteers take a class in several aspects of Horticulture and in turn volunteer their time teaching the people of our community about gardening, firesafe landscaping, integrated pest management among other things.
Volunteers are Great!
Our Volunteers are very dedicated to their programs. This past year they donated thousands of hours in building leaders for tomorrow through the 4-H Youth Development Program; teaching safe food processing to people in our communities through the Master Food Preserver Program; and, teaching home gardening to the people of our communities through the Master Gardener Program.
