of Poultry Husbandry, and Poultry Husbandman in the Experiment Station, Berkeley.
The Regional Turkey Breeding Project was conducted with the co-operation of the United
States Department of Agriculture.
In the February 1950 issue the article Soybean Meals as Poultry Feed by Dudley C. Ambrose refered to the preparation of soy bean meals by the expeller
and the solvent methods. In the solvent process of manufacturing soybean oil meal,
hexanes—fat solvents—are used to remove the oil. Acids can not be used in this process.
