Details of the variety identification methods discussed here are presented in Variety Identification by Laboratory Methods: Instruction Manual for Barley, Wheat, and Other Cereals, Tech. Publ. 4 (1977) by C.W. Wrigley and J. McCausland. Copies of the manual are available from Dr. Wrigley or Dr. Qualset.
