This humorous mayfly illustration, "The swarmers are attracted to lights and tend to expose themselves in the evenings," appears in the 2019 Bohart Museum calendar. "The swarmers are attracted to lights and tend to expose themselves in the evenings." This statement from a UC Davis student now illustrates the Bohart Museum calendar. This art work is by Karissa Merritt, a fourth-year entomology student, Bohart associate, and longtime artist.
"The infected fleas can harbor rats, ground squirrels, rabbits, and occasionally, even house cats." The UC Davis undergraduate student's sentence came to life in this illustration by Karissa Merritt.
