The California Farm Bureau Federation is a non-governmental, non-profit, voluntary membership California corporation whose purpose is to protect and promote agricultural interests throughout the state of California and to find solutions to the problems of the farm, the farm home and the rural community. Farm Bureau strives to protect and improve the ability of farmers and ranchers engaged in production agriculture to provide a reliable supply of food and fiber through responsible stewardship of California's resources.

Local Associations

Mountain Mandarin Growers’ Association

The Mountain Mandarin Growers' Association's (MMGA) goal is to provide quality mandarins and expand markets to support local agriculture. The MMGA has over 30 members who host the annual Mountain Mandarin Festival and meet monthly to discuss production, marketing, and other issues related to the industry.

Placer County Vintners Association (PCVA)

The Placer County Vintners Association works to promote the commercial wine industry in Placer County. PCVA actively hosts and promotes a growing wine trail, "The Placer County Wine Trail," and partners with the local community for charitable events and causes. They strive to promote a positive business environment for the growth and production of Placer County wines and wineries. Membership is limited to commercial wineries.

Placer County Wine & Grape Association (PCWGA)

PCWGA works to inform and educate the public about Placer County wines, wineries, grape growers, and grapes. The association provides educational programs to its members and the public; encourages the use of ecologically sound and sustainable agricultural practices; and serves as an advocate for the wine and grape industry in public and government matters.

Sierra Wine & Grape Growers Association (SWGGA)

The Sierra Wine & Grape Growers Association represents home winemakers - the farmers and families who grow grapes in Nevada County and adjoining Yuba, Sierra and Placer Counties. SWGGA's monthly meetings are usually held in Grass Valley and feature an industry-recognized speaker, a workshop, or a panel discussing a specific area of viticulture or wine making.

Tahoe Cattlemen's Association

The Tahoe Cattlemen's Association is dedicated to perpetuating the cattle industry while maintaining a relationship with the land that is environmentally friendly and based on sound and demonstrated science. Membership is only $15 per year. TCA sponsors many events throughout the year.

California Association of Nurseries and Garden Centers (CANGC)

The CANGC is a professional organization dedicated to the promotion and advancement of the nursery industry. The organization provides a forum for those in horticulture to exchange information, support marketing, and promote research and advocacy.

California Wool Growers Association (CWGA)

The mission of the CWGA is to be the voice of the California Sheep Industry at the local, regional, state, and national level. The Association will provide service to its members through effective communication that ensures the long-term prosperity of the industry and promotes economically viable and environmentally sound production practices. CWGA represents producers of hair sheep, as well.
