Citizen Science App Study

The Cooperative Extension Poultry Lab at the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine is looking for study participants. Our study focuses on the development and evaluation of a new mobile app for backyard chicken owners and game fowl breeders. The goal is to examine the app's effectiveness as an extension and communication tool within the poultry community.

West Nile virus Prevention Study

Join our community effort to combat West Nile virus! We are conducting a field trial this summer to evaluate how well a new mosquito control method reduces the spread of West Nile virus, and we need chickens to help measure our impact.

California Backyard Poultry Census

The Cooperative Extension Poultry Lab at the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine has made a short geo-survey (~2minutes) designed for the backyard poultry community. Results will help further clarify the location and number of backyard poultry farms in California for disease modeling.
