California trees are constantly faced with a wide variety of invasive pest insects. In particular, are several species of invasive beetles causing severe damage? and even death? of thousands of trees, both in the urban forest and in natural areas. How do these invasive beetles get into our urban forest? Why are they such a big problem? What can we do to protect our trees from these unforgiving pests? In this webinar we will explore these questions, emphasizing some of the pest beetle species that are having the greatest impact on California's urban forest.
