Tuesday, April 25, 3:30-5 PM

Starting March 1, 2023, UC ANR will be a new member organization with the National Center for Faculty Development & Diversity (NCFDD; https://www.facultydiversity.org).

In this panel session, NCFDD strategist Molly Beste will provide a short overview and introduction of the NCFDD platform to ANR academics. This will be followed by further introductions of NCFDD services by Daniel Obrist - Vice Provost for Academic Support and Development, Tina Jordan - Interim Director of Academic HR, and Kathy Nolan - Director Contracts and Grants. Discussions will be organized around the four training areas of the NCFDD platform:

1. Strategic Planning: Learn how to plan your academic year, your term, and your weekly schedule in a way that is aligned with your tenure and promotion criteria.

2. Explosive Productivity: Learn the skills and strategies that will help you to publish more research, win more grants, and manage your internal resistance to writing.

3. Healthy Relationships: Learn how to manage your professional relationships and build a thriving network of mentors, sponsors, and collaborators.

4. Work-Life Balance: Learn how to reduce your stress, prioritize your self-care, and find balance in your personal and professional life.

NCFDD is the leading provider of professional development in higher education. Nationally, NCFDD is working with over 300 colleges and universities and provides on-demand access to mentoring, tools, and support needed to be successful in the Academy.
