Wednesday, April 26, 8:45-10:15 AM
Why do Funders Give? Let’s start by asking them! Donors are increasingly focused on the outcomes and impacts achieved through their giving. How can we capitalize on this impact-focused approach to fund raising? Are we relating to donors as partners in a shared purpose, or do we take their support for granted? Join the Development Services team and colleagues from across the UC ANR community to learn some easy and effective tips to engage funders from the private and public sectors in support of your program or research. Because fundraising is a team effort, this interactive presentation is designed for all ANR staff and academics and will explore ways to increase your confidence and minimize stress when raising funds, land isten to funders to determine where their interests intersect with our mission. Participants will learn strategies for creating a team approach to seeking support where everyone plays a role and building loyal and fulfilling relationships through authentic stewardship opportunities.
