4-C Expanded Learning Partnerships and Funding Landscape

Wednesday, April 26, 3:30-6 PM

California invests in a robust Expanded Learning (EL or afterschool) network of programs and supportive infrastructure housed in the Department of Education. Across the state, EL collaborators can provide an excellent opportunity to expand UC ANR programming to new, often underrepresented youth audiences. These afterschool programs seek staff training and engaging educational programming, a role UCCE is prime to fill. Engage with a panel of statewide leaders from CDE, school districts, and UC ANR’s 4-H program to explore our common mission, proven programs, and the growing window of opportunity for local and statewide partnership. Participants will:
• Recognize the alignment between the UC ANR strategic vision and California’s Expanded Learning Standards
• Understand the structure, players and their roles in the statewide Expanded Learning network
• Learn about successful and sustained UC ANR/EL programs and partnerships
• Explore the steps and strategies to access Expanded Learning opportunities in their local communities.
