7-E Accessibility: How to Build Content so That Everyone Can Use It

Thursday, April 27, 10:30 AM-12:30 PM

Come learn from the UC digital accessibility lead in a two part talk. In the first part, you will learn what accessibility is and why it is important. We will cover laws and the current state across UC and across the nation. In part two, we will do some hands-on testing of your own content and you will leave with a better understanding of how to make accessible word files and/or web pages. Bring your laptop and expect to have fun! If there is time, we might to also look at how to test on a mobile device, so bring a set of earbuds or headphones. Expect this session to be fully interactive. Come ready to learn as much as you can about accessibility.
