Fresno County 4-H Scholarships
Formed in 1979 to provide recognition and encouragement to outstanding 4-H members.
Deadline for applications (NO EXCEPTIONS): Friday , April 1st, 2016, 5:00 p.m.
Interviews will be on Thursday, April 21st, 2016 at the UC Center.
Scheduled interviews will follow a meal starting at approximately 5:30 p.m. (Applicants will receive a email prior to the interviews with a detailed schedule).
Selection will be based on the efforts of the applicant to help others through 4-H Leadership and Community Service. Items which may be considered include, but are not limited to: serving as a Jr./Teen Leader, Jr. 4-H Camp Counselor, or All Star; committee leadership (club, county or sectional activities) and participation in club or county community service activities.

Legacy Scholarship and Fiber Grants for the 2016-17
• The Legacy Scholarship is for a student studying at a college majoring in any field of fiber arts. It is a very broad field and can include fashion design, merchandising, textiles, clothing construction.
• The Fiber Grants are for anyone 9 years old or older and offer $100 for supplies for a fiber-related project.
- Awardees in the past have done a a fiber lesson, made their own clothing and costumes for events, or quilting. The grant can purchase supplies or pay for a class.
The Guild expects the recipient to come to a Guild meeting by April 15, 2017 and share what was completed in the project.
