UCCE 4-H Program of Amador County

Welcome to the 4-H Program of Amador County

Amador County 4-H is made up of six community 4-H clubs: Fiddletown, Gold Nuggets in Plymouth, Ione Community, Jackson Gold Wheels, Shenandoah Valley, and Willow Springs.

How old do I have to be to join 4-H?

The Amador County 4-H Program is open to youth currently enrolled in grades K through 12 or ages 5 years old to 19 years old by December 31st of the program year.

How much does it cost to join 4-H?

Currently the Youth Member fee is $40.00 and the Adult Volunteer fee is $15.00. Some projects may require an investment to get started.

I don't live on a ranch or farm, can I still join 4-H?

If you live in a town or city, you can participate in 4-H activities with pets & small animals, rocketry, foods & nutrition, mini gardens, photography, woodworking, robotics, leadership, and much, much more!

What will I do in 4-H?

4-H members choose projects that interest them. You attend meetings, participate in new learning experiences, and may be involved in making presentations and community services projects. You may also want to participate in 4-H camps, the county fair, or take a trip to other states and countries.

Contact the 4-H Office at 209-223-6484 or email Vera M. Allen at vmallen@ucanr.edu if you have any questions.
