The journal California Agriculture recently published a special issue on research and extension efforts related to the University's Endemic and Invasive Pests and Diseases strategic initiative.

First Rafael Munhoz Pedroso—a graduate student in Dr. Albert Fischer's lab—was awarded first place at the California Weed Science Society's (CWSS) annual meeting for his student oral research presentation on Uncovering the Mechanism of Resistance to Propanil in Ricefield Bulrush (Schoenoplectus mucronatus (L.)
