I love books and I love borrowing books from the library. I'm sure it's to make up for all those years of library deprivation. I went to a school where books were outdated and limited and primarily for display only.
The other day, I was at one of the local branches of our public library - can't remember which one, and I found this book, Edible Landscaping with a Permaculture Twist by Michael Judd. It covers a little a bit of permaculture design principles, but not too in depth to cause confusion.
What I like about it is the practical aspects of it. The books shows different projects (I love projects) like sheet mulching, making a spiral bed, hugelkultur, swales and rain gardens, and building earthen ovens. It mentions a few unusual edible plants and recipes. It is loaded with a lot of information, but presented in a very easy and fun way to learn.
I still have the book for another 2 weeks or so. It will be available at the library after that, unless I renew it for another 3 weeks.
