Yes this yellow oxalis is truly beautiful but it is very invasive and will smother out many other plants.

I wondered what they were called! I wanted to yank them out but then they flowered so cheerfully - didn't have the heart to. And now that they have a name - they'll get a pass unless too invasive. Thanks for the article Brenda.

Brenda, I don’t know if I’m going to laugh or cry. I’m glad you like them. You’re the first person I know these days who do. I’ve spent years hating them for invading my first garden and everyone else’s garden, making me work so hard to get rid of them. I’ve forgotten that once upon a time, some people liked them enough to bring them over from overseas; even I used to think they were pretty. Thanks for sharing your enthusiasm. 🤩
