Its that time of the year again! The UC Master Gardeners of Solano County's annual Wreath Workshop. Again the place will be at St. Mary's Catholic Church parish hall, 350 Stinson Ave., Vacaville on December 7th from 1-4 pm.
For Master Gardeners, this is a very busy fun event for us. Prior to the big day on December 7th, we spend 3 days gathering, cutting and boxing the material for you to make a wreath.
The cost for the Wreath Workshop is $50.00, for this, you receive a box of a variety of greens, wire wreath frame, and paddle wire. Also, there is a lot of dried plant decorations you can choose from to add to your wreath and a bow in any color you choose.
We will have our marketplace again this year, where you can purchase your holiday gifts for family or friends or for yourself. All these many items have been made by many of our talented Master Gardeners. The Marketplace is open to all, whether you are making a wreath or not. Please, only cash or personal checks for your items.
Don't worry if this is the first time making a wreath or if you have come before there will be Master Gardeners there for your help if needed. As always there will be food and refreshment for you to enjoy while you are working on your wreath.
If you are interested in having a fun afternoon and take home a beautiful wreath created by you, contact Jennifer Baumbach, Program Coordinator 707-389-0645 or jmbaumbach@ucanr.edu Please provide your name, phone number and email address. Don't wait as space is limited.
